Mummy Jalapeño Poppers

  • 5 jalapeños, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces shredded cheese, like Cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 2 scallions, green parts diced fine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Spanglish Asadero All Purpose Seasoning
  • Crescent roll dough of choice
  • 2 black olives, cut into small pieces for the "eyes"

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Remove the pit and seeds of each jalapeño half, leaving a space to add the cheese mixture.
  4. In a medium bow, combine the cheeses, scallion and Spanglish Asadero All Purpose Seasoning.
  5. Once combined, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  6. Roll out your crescent dough and slice it into thin strips.
  7. Wrap 1-2 strips around each jalapeño to form a mummy, leaving some space in between each wrap.
  8. At the top, add two small pieces of black olives to make eyes.
  9. Bake the mummies for 8-10 minutes, until the wrapping is golden brown. Enjoy!
