The crunch from the tostada layer and the warmth of the grilled tortilla tie it all together, making it a handheld meal that delivers every time. The Crunch Wrap isn’t going anywhere. It’s become a staple because it’s easy to make, fun to eat, and packed with flavor. Whether kept simple or loaded up with toppings, it’s all about the layers—and the first bite that tells you everything’s working just right.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 tbsp. Spanglish Asadero’s Mexican BBQ Seasoning
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup crema Mexicana
  • 1 cup colby jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 tbsp. Kinder’s Red Taco Sauce
  • 4 small tostada shells
  • 4 tbsp. green salsa
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup pico de gallo
Mexican BBQ
Directions
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until no longer pink and cooked through, approximately 8-12 minutes.
  2. Drain grease from the meat. Return meat to skillet and add Spanglish Asadero Mexican BBQ Seasoning. Stir to combine and simmer for an additional 2-4 minutes.
  3. Lay a large flour tortilla down flat and build layers in the center… Start with a scoop of crema, ground beef, cheese, hot sauce, tostada shell, green sauce, shredded lettuce, and a spoonful of pico de gallo.
  4. Fold the bottom tortilla…start with the part closest to you, up towards the center of the layered filling. Using both hands, spin clockwise and do another fold. Repeat until the bottom tortilla is fully folded up covering the top. NOTE: About 5-6 folds.
  5. With a frying pan on medium heat, place the crunchwrap folded side down. Cook for 4-6 minutes, or until the tortilla is browned. Flip and cook the other side for another 4-5 minutes. Repeat with other crunchwraps.
  6. Remove and serve warm. Enjoy!
