Steak Tostadas with Guacamole and Pico de Gallo
Ingredients
For the meat:
- 1½ lb beef (your choice of cut: flank, sirloin, etc.)
- Salt to taste• Garlic powder to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Spanglish Asadero Carne Asada seasoning
- Spanglish Asadero Taco seasoning
- 2 tbsp oil
For the Tostadas:
- 6 corn tortillas
- Oil for frying
For the Pico de Gallo:
- 2 medium tomatoes
- ¼ white onion
- 1 jalapeño (optional)
- Cilantro to taste
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the guacamole:
- 1 ripe avocado
- Juice of ½ lime
- Salt and pepper to taste

Carne Asada
Directions
- Cook the beef:In a hot skillet with oil, add the beef. Season with salt, garlic powder, pepper, and the Spanglish Asadero seasonings. Cook over medium-high heat until the meat is browned and fully cooked.
- Fry the tortillas:Fry the corn tortillas in hot oil until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Make the pico de gallo:Dice the tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro. Mix in a bowl with lime juice, salt, and pepper.
- Make the guacamole: Mash the avocado, add lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Assemble the tostadas:Spread a layer of guacamole on each tostada, top with steak, and finish with pico de gallo.
