Ingredients

🌭 For the hot dogs:

  • Hot dogs of your choice
  • Bacon strips
  • 1 onion, sliced into strips
  • 2 to 3 jalapeños, sliced into rounds
  • Spanglish Asadero Garlic Salt seasoning
  • Hot dog buns* Mayonnaise

🥫 For the burger sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped pickles
  • A splash of Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Onion powder, to taste

Garlic Salt

Directions
  1. Wrap each hot dog with bacon strips and place them in a skillet. Fry well on both sides until the bacon is crispy and fully cooked. Once ready, remove them from the skillet and place on a paper towel to absorb some of the grease.
  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and season with Spanglish Asadero Garlic Salt seasoning. Mix well and cook for about 1 minute.
  3. Add the sliced jalapeños, stir, and continue cooking until the onions become slightly caramelized.
  4. For the burger sauce, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, chopped pickles, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  5. Heat the hot dog buns on a comal or skillet until toasted on both sides.
  6. To assemble, spread a little mayonnaise inside each bun, add the bacon-wrapped hot dog, top with the jalapeño onion mixture, and drizzle with the burger sauce.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
