Ingredients
1 Cup long grain white rice, uncooked
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1½ Cups vegetable stock
1 (8 oz) can hot tomato sauce
¼ Cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
Instructions
Rinse the rice in a mesh strainer until the water runs clear. Note: This helps remove starch and prevent stickiness.
Heat the vegetable oil in a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the rice and cook until translucent, about 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add the vegetable stock, tomato sauce, and Spanglish Asadero All Purpose seasoning, and bring to a rapid boil over high heat.
Stir once, cover, and reduce heat to a low simmer (slightly below medium-low). Cook for 20 minutes.
Remove the cover and let stand for 2–3 minutes before fluffing with a fork and serving.
Serve topped with a little fresh cilantro and enjoy!
