Ingredients

Toppings:

  • Mexican crema

  • Crumbled queso fresco

  • Sliced red onion

  • Cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pot, add 1½ Cups of water and cook the tomatillos, serrano peppers, jalapeño pepper, garlic clove, and white onion until softened.

  2. Once cooked, transfer everything to a blender along with salt, chicken bouillon, Spanglish Asadero Chile Verde seasoning, and cilantro. Blend until smooth.

  3. In a bowl, mix the Maseca and warm water. Knead well until you get a smooth dough.

  4. Using a tortilla press, form a tortilla, add cheese in the center, fold it in half, cut it in half, and press the edges to seal so the cheese doesn't come out.

  5. Fry the stuffed tortillas in hot oil on both sides until lightly golden. Remove and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

  6. Once ready, cover the tortillas with the green sauce and top with Mexican crema, crumbled queso fresco, sliced red onion, and cilantro for garnish.
