Chile Relleno Tex-Mex Brisket Burgers

Freshly ground brisket burgers loaded with cheddar, pepper jack, sautéed onions, guacamole, crispy cheese-stuffed chile rellenos, and homemade chile relleno sauce. 🍔🔥

Ingredients

🍔 Burgers

  • Freshly ground brisket
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Pepper Jack cheese
  • Spanglish Asadero Tex-Mex Chicken & Steak seasoning
  • Burger buns

🫑 Chile Rellenos

  • 4 poblano peppers
  • Monterey Jack cheese
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • Flour
  • Oil for frying
  • Toothpicks

🔥 Sauce

  • 6 Roma tomatoes
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 jalapeño
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • Olive oil
  • Spanglish Asadero Garlic Salt seasoning

🥑 Toppings

  • Guacamole
  • Sautéed onions

Tex-Mex

Directions
  1. Char poblano peppers and steam in a covered container for 20 minutes.
  2. Blend sauce ingredients until smooth. Simmer in a cast iron pan until reduced.
  3. Make guacamole and sauté onions.
  4. Peel peppers, remove seeds, stuff with Monterey Jack, and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Whip egg whites until fluffy, then mix in yolks.
  6. Coat peppers in flour, dip in egg mixture, and fry at 350°F until golden.
  7. Sear burgers on a hot griddle, smash down, season with Spanglish Asadero Tex-Mex Chicken & Steak seasoning, flip, and add cheese.
  8. Toast buns and build:

    Bun → guacamole → burgers → onions → chile relleno → warm sauce 🔥🍔
